Cherub Solutions LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Swypmail application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our service.

Information We Collect

Email Data

To provide our service, we access your email through secure IMAP connections. Here's exactly what happens:

• Full email content - Processed temporarily (a few seconds) to generate summaries, then discarded. Never stored on our servers.
• Email metadata - Sender name, subject line, and a short preview (up to 500 characters) are stored to power the app.
• AI-generated summaries - Short summaries (30-50 words) are stored so your app loads quickly.
• Audio files - Text-to-speech audio is cached for 21 days, then automatically deleted.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address for identification. For email access:

• IMAP passwords - Stay on your device only. We never store them on our servers.
• OAuth tokens (Gmail, Outlook) - Stored encrypted on our servers to enable email sync.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve our service, including feature usage, app performance metrics, and crash reports.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain our service
• To generate email summaries using AI
• To provide text-to-speech functionality
• To notify you about changes to our service
• To provide customer support
• To detect and prevent technical issues

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini - Receives sender name, subject, and a short preview (up to 400 characters) to classify and summarize emails. Does not receive full email content.
• Venice AI / Google TTS - Receives only the generated summary text (30-50 words) to create audio. Does not receive original email content.
• Stripe / App Store - Processes payments for premium subscriptions.

These services process data according to their own privacy policies. Data is transmitted only during the request and is not stored by these providers beyond their standard processing.

Google API Services Disclosure

Swypmail's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, Swypmail requests access to your Gmail account (via the gmail.modify scope) to:

• Read email metadata - Sender, subject, and a short preview to generate AI summaries
• Mark emails as read - When you interact with them in the app
• Archive emails - When you swipe to archive in the app

Swypmail does not use this access to:

• Send emails on your behalf (unless you explicitly use the reply feature)
• Delete emails permanently
• Modify email content
• Share raw email data with third parties
• Use email data for advertising or marketing purposes

Email content is processed transiently for summarization and classification and is never stored on our servers. Only AI-generated summaries (30-50 words) and minimal metadata (sender, subject) are retained.

Microsoft Graph API Disclosure

For Outlook accounts, Swypmail requests access via the Mail.ReadWrite scope to read your email and mark messages as read or archived. The same data handling practices described above for Gmail apply equally to Outlook data.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All connections are encrypted using TLS. Email credentials are stored using encryption at rest.

Data Retention

• Full email content - Never stored. Processed for a few seconds, then discarded.
• Email metadata and summaries - Retained while your account is active.
• Audio cache - Automatically deleted after 21 days.
• Account information - Retained while your account is active.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
